A waterfall can have a spectacular impact or be a subtle presence. Either way, waterfalls are most successful when they appear integrated with their setting. Also, keep the source of the waterfall discreet. Consider having the waterfall emerge from well-positioned rocks or another subtle place. When an observer doesn’t notice where your waterfall is coming from, you’ve got a successful design.
